Hi, I’m Natalie Tucker, but at work, I still go by my maiden name – Natalie George. I’ve been part of Damia Group for a mind blowing 25 years and 8 months, working as an Account Director specialising in Security Cleared / Developed Vetting recruitment. I love what I do and am passionate about helping people find the right opportunities.
What I Love About My Job
One of the best things about my role is the diversity. Every day is different, and I get to be involved in a wide range of activities. From working directly with candidates and clients to developing new relationships and nurturing existing ones, I’m always on the go. Recruitment is challenging, and I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of it. There’s nothing better than that feeling of accomplishment when you’ve done a good job and helped someone secure a great role.
I take pride in being an honest recruiter who truly cares about doing the best job possible. It’s not just about filling positions; it’s about making sure the right people are placed in the right roles for long-term success.
Life Outside of Work
When I’m not busy with recruitment, I love to travel. Whether it’s a big holiday abroad or simply packing up the motorhome for a weekend away, I enjoy exploring new places and making memories with family and friends.
A typical week for me is filled with work and kids’ clubs, with the occasional glass (or bottle!) of prosecco to wind down. Weekends are all about catching up with friends, watching the kids play football, and enjoying a relaxing roast dinner. If we’re not on the road, that is!
My Daily Routine
My mornings start early with a cold tub at 6:30, followed by a hot tub at 6:40 – it’s the perfect wake-up call! After coffee, I get ready for the day, do the school run, and hit the office by 8 a.m. I try to squeeze in a dog walk during lunch, and the evenings are filled with kids’ dinners, clubs, and winding down with some TV and wine.
(Former) Thrill-Seeker and Charity Supporter
I’ve always loved an adventure and have had some unforgettable experiences over the years. From cage diving with great white sharks in South Africa to parachute jumping in Australia, I’m all about pushing the limits. I even trained for a marathon and ran 19 miles in the final stretch of training, only to tear my ACL while skiing the month before!
On the more humorous side, I’ve tried nearly every diet out there and can’t resist a good advertisement. I’m a marketer’s dream customer, often finding random packages arriving at my door, long forgotten but full of things I was convinced I needed at the time!
Giving Back
I believe in giving back and regularly donate to charities and give blood. I also love supporting others in their charitable endeavours, always happy to sponsor anyone doing their bit for a good cause.
