SC Cleared – IT Service Management Analyst – Outside IR35 £450 – £500 per day – 12 Month Contract

Project Overview

The Service Management project shall design a single set of future ITSM Capabilities and transition client organisations to new ways of working which are underpinned by new processes, ITSM tools and associated ways of working.

Role Responsibilities

Working collaboratively with Capability Lead and Business Change Lead to support the convergence of a set of Service Management Capabilities / processes, including coordination of a team comprising Business Analysts, Business Change resources, Tooling SMEs and client stakeholders.

Developing and capturing Capability Designs for in-scope capabilities using a collaborative workshop approach over a sprint based delivery plan with associated use of user stories to capture process and tooling requirements.

Applying ITSM good practice into the Design process to encourage client stakeholders create modernised capability / process designs which address client pain points.

Liaising with and supporting the client target state Capability Owner throughout the project lifecycle.

Liaising with additional client stakeholders including persona representatives and existing ITSM practitioners to develop fit for purpose target state capability designs.

Obtaining sign-off of target state designs from client stakeholders and design authorities.

Participating in testing activities throughout the design of individual capabilities, integration to create deployable releases and preparation for transition.

Co-ordination of Transition activities to ensure successful transition of capabilities from current operation to newly designed processes, tooling and ways of working.

Development of Business Change materials to support the transition of impacted stakeholders to new tools, processes and associated ways of working.

Participating in relevant governance checkpoints throughout Capability Design and Transition to inform go/no decisions.

Sharing and apply lessons learned identified through collaborative working across project workstreams.

Technical Skills

Service Management and ITIL Knowledge

Understanding of operational models and processes


Demonstrable capability in conversion of strategic direction into operation results.
