Lead Business Analyst (Digital)

*Lead Business Analyst (Digital) – £50 – 62,000 per annum – Leatherhead*

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst who can lead the analysis activities on the digital platform. You will work on initiatives to identify innovative ideas to drive profit, revenue, competitive advantage and cost reduction. Proven agile experience is a must-have for this role as well as an understanding of B2B and B2C environments and impacts on internal customers and business partners.

The position has 3 main parts:

  • Acting as a Business Analysis on projects
  • Acting as an area lead – including accountability over the analysis activities of BA’s under your supervision
  • Line Management of 4-5 Business Analyst’s in your team

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

You will work on the definition of high level business operating models, business processes, products and organisation structures. While doing this, you will collaborate with product owners, business subject matter experts, peer business analysts, technical teams and third parties. During your projects, your focus will be making sure your team’s requirements cover the business and organisational needs, non-functional requirements, user experience outcomes and legal & compliance requirements.

  • Eliciting Functional and Non-Functional requirements for (1) new business needs, (2) process & journey enhancements, (3) user experience, (4) legal & compliance and information security, and (5) readiness.
  • Creating and enhancing business processes models together with documentation of them
  • Influencing and challenging key stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome
  • Ensuring timely review/sign-off of requirements with the relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborating with business architects and solution architects to discover solution options
  • Documenting business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies
  • Presenting the analysis documentation and solutions to Senior Business Stakeholders and/or Steering Group to ensure buy-in
  • Managing the change requests during the project, in collaboration with project stakeholders, project team and project managers
  • Performing a combined business and technical analysis where the business and technical models are heavily interdependent
  • Production of user documentation and training material/manuals
  • Assisting the writing of test plans to ensure they are comprehensive enough to meet desired outcome

Your area lead responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and improving standards in your area and working with Head of Business Analysis to make this part of overall delivery methodology
  • Mentoring and coaching of the business analysts in your team, including on-the-job training and providing peer review
  • Resource planning for the business analysts in your team
  • Being active and influential member of the Business Analysis leadership team, highlighting and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Consult on E2E project delivery plans to identify potential issues and risks
  • Define and agree timescales for Business Analysis activities your team is assigned to
  • Lead the resolution of any conflicts on the projects or programmes your team is working on
  • Peer review BA deliverables ensuring they meet the required high standard
