With a background in psychology, recruitment, and operations, Ariana Ramos brings a unique blend of empathy and precision to her role as contractor care administrator at Damia Group. Since joining in 2021, she’s worked in delivery and operations, building a reputation for keeping things running smoothly while always looking for ways to improve how we work.

We sat down with Ariana to find out what drives her, what she sees on the horizon for tech transformation and the lessons she’s picked up along the way.

What excites you most about working in the tech transformation sector?
It’s constantly changing and evolving, making it the ideal sector for continuous development. You’re never standing still – there’s always something new to learn or adapt to.

How do you see the sector changing in the years ahead?
I think we’re moving towards a more AI-focused environment, which has huge potential to reduce behind-the-scenes admin work. That means streamlining certain aspects of our day-to-day processes, giving us more time to focus on the crucial elements of our roles.

Tell us a bit about your professional journey so far.
I joined Damia Group in November 2021 as an account associate in the delivery team, working on a range of roles, with graduate placements being the most rewarding. Helping someone kickstart their career and figure out their own ambitions is incredibly fulfilling. In December 2024, I moved into the operations team, where my focus is on contractor care, processes and ensuring everything runs smoothly for our associates.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?
Managing expectations, prioritising effectively and negotiating under tight deadlines. Those skills are tested often, but they make a big difference in achieving the best outcomes.

Which part of your role gives you the greatest sense of fulfilment?
I love the structure and processes because they provide a solid foundation, but also the flexibility to tailor my work for maximum efficiency. There’s a real sense of satisfaction in reorganising or decluttering systems so they’re more user-friendly.

Is there a career moment you’re especially proud of?
Moving halfway across the world to further my education and career. It was a huge step, but one that’s shaped who I am today. I’ve also recently started working towards my CIPD – a journey Damia Group is supporting me through. It’s important for me to continue furthering my skills and education, and I’m very pleased to have this opportunity.

What’s the best thing about working at Damia Group?
The people. They make the work enjoyable and the team dynamic really positive.

And outside of work?

I’m a self-confessed nerd who enjoys reading, baking and gaming.
