Senior PMO Manager – 6 months – Edinburgh – £500 pay per day

Senior PMO Manager to join a programme on a fast paced and client facing delivery programme managing the entire PMO team and be responsible for :-

Resourcing Governance
• Management of the PMO Resourcing Tower
• Act as point of escalation with the Flexible Resource Centre with regard to Contractors
• Act as point of escalation with Contractor Agencies to resolve issues with Contractors
• Act as point of escalation with Subcontractors to resolve issues
• Provide approvals for Weekly Staff List
• Provide proxy approval for any rate adjustments that are outside of parameters
• Conduct and manage improvement plan for resourcing performing below expectations

Financial Governance
• Management of the PMO Finance Tower
• Assist the PMO Finance Lead in Financial Reporting
• Provide proxy approvals for Monthly Invoices
• Ownership of the Master Finance Data report
• Create and update Finance Project Plan for invoice delivery schedule
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required
• Backfill for finance team during emergency cover / workload peaks

Delivery Governance
• Management of the PMO Delivery Tower
• Assist the PMO Delivery Lead in Delivery Reporting
• Account project release planning
• RAID Management
• Asset management

Internal Governance
• Account Planning alongside Senior Management Team
• Continued development of the activities of the PMO to achieve agreed functional goals and objectives
• Plan in future resource estimations and allocations for existing and new Work Orders
• Participate in Step Review process for revised and new Work Orders
• Actively seeks ways of increasing efficiency within the contract
• Provide support to the Senior Account Management team
• Act as Deputy for PMO Tower leads
• Act as Deputy for Director of Consulting Services as required in Client or Internal governance meetings.

Client Governance
• Management of issues
• Management of PMO contract deliverables
• Act as point of escalation for all PMO issues
• Create and update Resource Profiles for revised and new Work Orders
• Ensure all relevant office management processes are undertaken

A PMO Manager who has experience in a public sector environment
• Experience in a Finance Lead or Resourcing Lead role
• Detailed knowledge of project and portfolio management
• Detailed knowledge of account planning and management
• Strong numeracy skills, ability to analyse, track and report complex financial information
• Proficient in the use of standard project planning and measurement tools
• A strong influencer with exceptional people skills and the ability to challenge and inspire others
• • Team Leadership and mentoring experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
